One run of StandbyFabricLoopback test and RewriteEnginetest will fail. Counters HIGH_NULL_POE_DROP_CNT and RO4 TDS timeout interrupt start incrementing for the spine module in question.
Power cycle of fabric module or quick open/close of fabric ejectors.
Disable Gold StandbyFabric Loopback test and Rewrite engine test before power cycling of fabric modules or quick open/close of fabric ejectors. Enable the tests once the spine is replaced or removed permanently.
Gold runs StandbyFabric Loopback test and RewriteEngine test periodically. These tests send probe packets to test packet path. Packet path includes Fabric modules. When a fabric module is power cycled or its ejectors and quickly opened and closed, probe packets sent by above tests get dropped resulting in the current run of the tests being treated as failed. HIGH_NULL_POE_DROP_CNT and RO4 TDS timeout interrupt counters also get incremented. Under these conditions, the counters mentioned increment only due to loss of gold probe packets and not due to data loss. Subsequent runs of StandbyFabricLoopback test and RewriteEngine test will be successful.
