Setting Up Media with a Barcode Setting Up Media without a Barcode To get a barcode for the media, ensure that the tray is loaded with the stock for which you need a barcode. Setting Up Media with a Custom Barcode without Internet When the stock does not have a barcode and the press is not connected to the Internet, the PredictPrint Stock Wizard cannot communicate with the PredictPrint Cloud Server to generate a barcode Before you proceed to generate a custom barcode, ensure that you have a portable USB storage device. Note: If the press is not connected to the Internet, you can download the Stock Lists from the PredictPrint Cloud Server To download the Stock Lists from the PredictPrint Cloud Server, for details refer to Download a Stock List . On the PredictPrint Stock Wizard Setup screen, select the paper orientation: Long Edge Feed Short Edge Feed Long Edge Feed Short Edge Feed Click Next . The PredictPrint Stock Wizard performs the recommended automatic setup routines After each routine, click Accept and Next The automatic setup routines include: Tray Programming Alignment Setup Secondary Transfer Voltage Adjustment Calibration and Profiling: This automatic setup routine is performed after the semi-automatic adjustments, and before any manual adjustments For details, refer to Calibration and Profiling . Note: It is important to remember that these setup routines and all of the other print engine adjustments are performed only if needed If the PredictPrint Cloud Server intelligence determines that they are not needed, the PredictPrint Stock Wizard skips them. Note: Calibration and Profiling is the last routine to run and appears on the Setup screen only if there are no semi-automatic setup routines to run. Upload the stock file from the USB storage device to the PredictPrint Cloud Server The PredictPrint Cloud Server generates a new barcode with stock setup routines Save the setup and barcode information on the USB storage device.
