There are different methods that can be used to perform this procedure. Choose your preferred method. Login to the kiosk User Interface (UI) as Administrator. Access Device Management. Login to configuration settings as Administrator at the kiosk Touch Screen (Xerox Tools menu). To view the Device menu, place your finger at the right edge of the screen and drag your finger left This action is called a "right swipe.". Touch Machine Status The Machine Status screen displays. Right swipe the right side of the User Interface to hide the Tools menu To hide the Tools menu: Touch anywhere on the Tools menu and swipe right. Touch the screen anywhere outside of the Tools menu. Touch anywhere on the Tools menu and swipe right. Touch the screen anywhere outside of the Tools menu. Touch the Tools tab. Touch Network Settings . Touch TCP/IP Settings The Network Settings screen will be displayed. Touch TCP/IP Enablement . Touch Enabled or Disabled for IPv4. Touch Enabled or Disabled for IPv6. Touch OK . NOTE : TCP/IP is enabled by default Usually, only IPv4 or IPv6 is running at one time Disable the version not being used Touch Enabled or Disabled for IPv4. Touch Enabled or Disabled for IPv6. Touch OK . NOTE : TCP/IP is enabled by default Usually, only IPv4 or IPv6 is running at one time Disable the version not being used Touch Dynamic Addressing The Automatic Addressing screen will be displayed. Touch Disabled then touch OK . Touch Disabled then touch OK . Touch IPv4 The Internet Protocol screen will be displayed. Touch the IPv4 Address field. The IPv4 Address screen will be displayed. Enter the IP address using the keyboard on the UI then select OK . Touch the IP Gateway field. The Gateway Address screen will be displayed. Enter the gateway address using the keyboard on the UI and then select OK . Touch the Network Mask field. The Network Mask screen will be displayed. Enter the network mask using the keyboard on the UI then select OK . Touch OK . Touch the IPv4 Address field. The IPv4 Address screen will be displayed. Enter the IP address using the keyboard on the UI then select OK . Touch the IP Gateway field. The Gateway Address screen will be displayed. Enter the gateway address using the keyboard on the UI and then select OK . Touch the Network Mask field. The Network Mask screen will be displayed. Enter the network mask using the keyboard on the UI then select OK . Touch OK . IMPORTANT: If you will be using host names, DNS needs to be configured Use the following steps if DNS is required, otherwise skip to step 14 To Configure DNS From the User Interface (UI) : Touch DNS Configuration Touch Host Name . Touch the Requested Host Name field Enter a host name using the keyboard on the UI then touch OK . Touch Close . NOTE : If DHCP is enabled, your DHCP server can provide the following information. Touch Domain Name . Touch the Requested Domain Name field. Enter the domain name using the keypad on the UI then touch OK . Touch Close . Touch DNS Servers. Touch the Primary DNS Server field. Enter the server address using the keyboard on the UI then touch OK . If necessary, touch the Alternate DNS Server #1 field. Enter the server address using the keyboard on the UI then touch OK . If necessary, touch the Alternate DNS Server #2 field. Enter the server address using the keyboard on the UI then touch OK . Touch Close twice. To apply the settings, touch Finish . Touch DNS Configuration Touch Host Name . Touch the Requested Host Name field Enter a host name using the keyboard on the UI then touch OK . Touch Close . NOTE : If DHCP is enabled, your DHCP server can provide the following information. Touch Host Name . Touch the Requested Host Name field Enter a host name using the keyboard on the UI then touch OK . Touch Close twice. To apply the settings, touch Finish . To apply the settings, touch Finish . Logout of configuration settings as Administrator at the kiosk Touch Screen (Xerox Tools menu). Logout of the kiosk User Interface (UI) as Administrator. Login to the kiosk User Interface (UI) as Administrator. Login to configuration settings as Administrator in Xerox CentreWare Internet Services (CWIS). Select the Properties tab. Touch Connectivity → Setup . In the Network area, for the Wired Connection profile, touch Edit . For IP (Internet Protocol), touch Edit . On the IP (Internet Protocol) page, for IPv4, touch Show IPv4 Settings . For Protocol, select Enabled . For IP Address Resolution, select Static . This option disables dynamic addressing and allows you to type a static IP address. Type a Machine IP Address, Subnet Mask, and Gateway Address. For Broadcast, select Enabled as needed. Note : If the kiosk does not obtain an IP address from a DHCP/BOOTP server, enable Broadcast Enable Broadcast when your DHCP/BOOTP server is on a different subnet than the kiosk and communicates through a relay agent router. In the Zero-Configuration Networking area, for Self Assigned Address, select Enable as needed This option instructs the kiosk to assign itself an address when a DHCP server does not provide one. Touch Apply . Note : If you select Default All, the kiosk disables FIPS 140 mode. Logout of configuration settings as Administrator in Xerox CentreWare Interenet Services (CWIS). Logout of the kiosk User Interface (UI) as Administrator.
