Overview
NOTE:
To set up the Scan to E-mail function, the WorkCentre must be connected to the network.
From a computer, open an Internet browser window.
Enter the IP Address of the printer in the Address field, and then press
Enter
on the keyboard
The Centreware Internet Services (CWIS) window will be displayed.
Click on the
Properties
tab.
Enter the user name and password in the fields provided, and then click on the
Login
button.
NOTE
: The default username is
admin
(case sensitive), and the default password is
1111
.
Click on
Connectivity
and then
Setup
.
Click on the
Edit
link to the right of
SMTP (E-mail)
.
Click on
Specify SMTP Server Manually
radio button.
Click on the
IPv4 Address
or
Host Name
radio button.
Enter the SMTP server’s IP Address or Host Name in the fields provided.
Enter a valid e-mail address in the
Device E-mail Address
field.
Click the
Apply
button to save the changes.
If necessary, configure the login credentials the printer will use to access the SMTP server:
Click on the
SMTP Authentication
tab.
Select
System
radio button for both the top and bottom sections.
Enter the Login Name and Password in the top section.
Click
Apply
.
Click on the
SMTP Authentication
tab.
Select
System
radio button for both the top and bottom sections.
Enter the Login Name and Password in the top section.
Click
Apply
.
If necessary, click on the
Connection Encryption
tab and select the encryption method used by the printer when communicating with the SMTP.
Click
Apply
.
Click on
Services
on the left window pane to expand the list of options.
Click on
E-mail
to expand the list.
Click on
Setup
.
Click on the
Edit
button for the From Field section under Required Settings tab.
Enter a valid e-mail address in the From Address field.
Click on the
Save
button to apply the settings.
