Overview
This error is produced when using Scan To FTP to scan direcly to the PC or Server hosting the FTP Service
This indicates that the device is unable to locate the hostname or the address of the FTP Server receiving the scans.
Confirm the IPv4 address or hostname of the FTP server is correct.
Access the Embedded Web Server and Login as the System Administrator.

Select the name of the contact that is setup for scan using FTP.
Select
FTP

Ensure the
IPv4 Address
or
Hostname
of the FTP server matches the address book entry.
Select
OK
.
Access the Embedded Web Server and Login as the System Administrator.

If scanning to an FTP server using hostname ensure the printers DNS settings are correct.
Access the Embedded Web Server and Login as the System Administrator.

Connectivity

Identify the
Connections
section.
Select either
Ethernet
or
Wi-Fi
depending on which way your printer is connected to the network.
Select the
Edit
button under the
DNS
section.
Confirm the
Primary
and
Alternate
server fields are populated correctly.
Note
: Without the correct DNS servers the printer will not be able to resolve the hostname of the FTP server.
Select
OK

Access the Embedded Web Server and Login as the System Administrator.
Select
Connectivity
.
Identify the
Connections
section.
Select either
Ethernet
or
Wi-Fi
depending on which way your printer is connected to the network.
Select the
Edit
button under the
DNS
section.
Confirm the
