Overview
When trying to print to the device from a Windows 10 computer, a
Fault Code 116-357 Device Fault
message displays and the print jobs will not print at the machine. This error is being generated when using a Web Services for Devices (WSD) port to send print jobs to the printer
Also, this error can be caused by an incorrectly configured standard TCP/IP port.
The preferred method for printing to the device is to use a Standard Transmission Control Protocol/ Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) port.
To create a Standard TCP/IP Port on the Windows 10 PC:
At the computer, Press
Windows logo key

on your keyboard to open the Search window.
Type
Control Panel
and press
Enter
In the upper right-corner, select
Large icons
from the
View by
drop-down menu.
Click on
Devices and Printers
.
Click on the printer object icon and then right-click and select
Printer Properties.
Click on the
Ports
tab.
Click on
Add Port.
Click on
Standard TCP/IP Port
.
Click on
New Port
, and then click
Next
.
Enter IP Address in the
Printer Name or IP Address
field.
Click on
Next
, and then click
Finish
.
Click on
Close
.
Click on
Apply
.
Click on
Configure Port
.
Click on the
LPR
radio button for Protocol.
Enter lower case
lp
for Queue Name.
Uncheck the
SNMP Status Enabled
check box, and then click
OK
.
Click on the
General
tab.
Click on
Print Test Page
to print a test page.
Click on
Close
twice.
