To load Media in the Standard Bypass Tray / Tray 5: The Tray Properties window appears. Note: Do not load materials above the MAX line located on the guides.   To load media in the Extra Long Sheets (XLS) Bypass Tray / Tray 5: Important: Before you make any adjustments, loosen both sides of the guide If you adjust the guides forcibly, the guides can become misaligned, then a service call is required. Note: To reduce the risk of multiple sheets feeding into the printer, for sheets with a length over 488 mm (19.21 in.), load each sheet separately The maximum stack size is 20 sheets. Note: Do not load materials above the MAX line on the guides. Slide out the guides to the needed paper size Select the appropriate paper stock for your print job. Open the ream of paper with the seam side facing up. Before you load the paper into the tray, fan the sheets of paper. Load the paper into the tray. Adjust the paper guides so that the guides touch the edges of the stack. The Tray Properties window appears. Note: Do not load materials above the MAX line located on the guides. From the Tray Properties window, verify that the correct paper information such as size, type, and weight are selected and match the stock that is loaded in the tray. To save the information and close the Tray Properties window, touch OK . Slide out the paper guides to the appropriate paper size Select the appropriate media for your print job. Open the media with the seam side facing up. Before loading paper into the XLS Bypass tray, fan the sheets of paper. Insert the media into Tray 5. Note: To reduce the risk of multiple sheets feeding into the printer, for sheets with a length over 488 mm (19.21 in.), load each sheet separately The maximum stack size is 20 sheets. Adjust the paper guides so that they touch the edges of the stack The paper Tray Properties window appears on the control panel. Note: Do not load materials above the MAX line on the guides. Tighten the four screws on the front-edge guide. On the Tray Properties window, verify that the correct paper information such as size, type and weight, are selected and match the media that is loaded in the XLS Bypass tray. To save the information and close the Tray Properties window, touch OK .
