Verify the Following Conditions: Check for other equipment in the work area that could be giving off the unusual odor. Make sure the printer is not giving off the normal smell of heat or melting wax. Note: If a new Fuser has been installed, there will be a strong odor as the Fuser heats up for the first time. This is normal and should dissipate after 20 to 30 prints. Check any other conditions in the immediate area that may be causing these symptoms. If you have identified that the printer has a problem, power off the unit, unplug it from the wall outlet and contact Support for additional assistance. If the smell, odor, or smoke is coming from anything other than the printer, contact your office administrator for assistance.
