In some cases, the Firebox SMTP proxy policy will fail to pass emails and, if you review the Firebox log messages you may see the error message: Destination unreachable (Fragmentation needed) This issue occurs regardless of the configured MTU limitation on the Firebox interface.
This issue does not occur if you set the TCP MTU Probing option to Always Enabled . To learn how to configure the TCP MTU Probing option, see Define Firebox Global Settings .
