In the vSphere Client, when you configure CPU affinity on a virtual machine and specify a Scheduling Affinity range that exceeds the number of CPUs on the VM, you might see an error such as The affinity specification string is not formatted properly. The error prevents you from applying the specified Scheduling Affinity on the VM, unless you modify the setting to correspond to the actual number of CPUs. If you use the ESXi Host Client, you see no error and the task completes successfully. This issue is resolved in this release.
