As a side effect of vCenter security enhancements, the vpxd service might fail to modify a configuration file required to set SMTP credentials in a vCenter instance. When you populate the username field by using either the vSphere Client or the Virtualization Management Object Management Infrastructure (VMOMI), vCenter fails to edit the configuration values. As a result, you cannot change any of the following settings: mail.smtp.server mail.smtp.password mail.smtp.username mail.smtp.port This issue is resolved in this release.
