Known affected version(s) that were inferred because the vendor did not provide any: 8.0.3.00800
In vSphere 8.0 Update 3 and earlier, when using Advanced Cross vCenter vMotion, vCenter automatically selects the first available ESXi host in the destination cluster for cold cross-vCenter migrations. As a result, multiple powered-off virtual machines are registered to a single host instead of being distributed across the cluster. This issue is resolved in this release. The fix ensures that for targets of version vCenter 8.0 and later, host selection is handled by the placement engine (DRS), while for targets of version earlier than vCenter 8.0, a host is randomly selected to prevent hotspots.
