When you use the vSphere Client to connect to a vCenter system of version 7.x or earlier than 8.0 Update 1, and try to encrypt a VM either in the New Virtual Machine wizard or in the Edit Settings dialog of an existing VM, you see errors such as Operation failed! RuntimeFault.Summary and A general runtime error occurred. Key /default KMS cluster not found . The task completes successfully when you use the vSphere Client to log in to a vCenter system of version 8.0 Update 1 or later. This issue is resolved in this release.
