If an NVMe device fails during the attach phase, the NVMe driver disables the NVMe controller and resets the hardware queue resources. When you try to re-attach the device, a mismatch between the hardware and driver queue pointers might cause an IOMMU fault on the NVMe device, which leads to memory corruption and failure of the vmkdevmgr service. As a result, you do not see some vmnics in your network. This issue is resolved in this release.
