When removing an Org VDC from a Datacenter Network group from the UI, the following message is displayed: [ UUID ] Cannot remove Org VDC <OVDC name> from VDC Group <VDC group name> because it has workloads connected to VDC Group networks. Please disconnect workloads from network in VDC and try again. The Org VDC to be deleted has no VMs and no workloads as seen from the UI.
This issue occurs due to stale workload references to the Data Center Network in the Cloud director database.
The workaround for this issue requires modification of the Cloud Director database. For assistance, contact VMware Support and note this Article ID (96163) in the problem description. For more information, see How to Submit a Support Request .
