For Horizon 8 customers that have connected their Horizon 8 pods to the Horizon Cloud next-generation control plane to consume the Horizon SaaS Subscription licensing (Universal License and License), the license expiration date shown in the Horizon Console is incorrect. This impacts all versions of Horizon 8 before 2312 This matter is resolved from Horizon 2312
This article explains the subscription license sync health and expiration issues for Horizon Subscription Licenses.
The Horizon Cloud License service on the Horizon Control Plane periodically (once every 24 hours) syncs with the Horizon 8 connection servers to maintain the health of the subscription license. On the Horizon 8 Administration Console, the date shown in the License Expiration field is actually the date of the last successful sync + an additional grace period (usually 15 days) for the next sync. It is erroneously labelled and in fact, does not actually show the subscription license expiration date. Please refer to the customer connect portal for the actual expiration date.
None
If you are connecting your Horizon 8 pod to the next-gen Horizon Cloud control plane, please ignore the License Expiration field in Horizon Console until this issue is addressed in a future release
