Horizon view agent silent installation fails with below error: Silent installation fails because Windows requires human interaction to install driver not signed.
The VMware driver is digitally signed by Microsoft, however, we do have reported edge cases with the above error .
This error can happen due to certificate / permission issues on the VM. In this case, the installer is unable to find VMware certificate in the virtual machine's 'Trusted root cert authority' so treats the driver as 'Unsigned'.The problem may also occur if using a hardened OS image, please verify before hardening and use an inspection tool such as procmon to discover the particular conflict.Group Policy can be set to check this signature explicitly and block third party publisher certificates. The installation log is created at %TEMP%\vminst.log_date_timestamp - If you inspect the horizon agent installation logs, signature Verification for the horizon agent has started: 2021-04-08 18:01:26| BootStrapper-build-16783116| VerifyPackageSignature: C:\Program Files\Common Files\VMware\InstallerCache\VMware Horizon Agent\7.13.0-{176F9057-AA17-4CF6-BF53-BBF282FCBA6C}\VMware-Horizon-Agent-x86_64-7.13.0-16975066.msi is VMware's App - continue verification 2021-04-08 18:01:26| BootStrapper-build-16783116| VerifyPackageSignature: C:\Temp\VMware-Horizon-Agent-x86_64-7.13.0-16975066.exe-C:\Program Files\Common Files\VMware\InstallerCache\VMware Horizon Agent\7.13.0-{176F9057-AA17-4CF6-BF53-BBF282FCBA6C}\VMware-Horizon-Agent-x86_64-7.13.0-16975066.msi certificates are different Later Certificate installation fails because test signing mode is not 'On' on the machine: 2021-04-08T18:03:07.726+02:00| inst-build-16783116| I1: FindVMwareInSystemTrustedPubStore: didn't find certificate in system trusted publisher store 2021-04-08T18:03:07.741+02:00| inst-build-16783116| I1: DriverMgmt_TryAddVMwareCerts: Automated cert installation requires test-signing mode
