Unable to sync and register new devices from Apple Business Manager for Automated Device Enrollment.Unable to enroll devices using Apple Business Manager's Automated Device Enrollment.On the console, you see error similar to: The DEP token appears to have been deleted or the system is unable to request the required information. Please check the status of the token in Apple Business Manager portal. Often, failing to accept new Terms and Conditions can result in revocation of the Automated Device Enrollment (formerly DEP) token from Apple. This revocation can result in loss of functionality including syncing new devices or assigning new Automated Device Enrollment (formerly DEP) profiles.
This article alerts the Workspace ONE UEM and Apple Business Manager admins of a possible impact on the with their Automated Device Enrollment (DEP) tokens due to not accepting updated Terms and Conditions within Apple Business Manager. Note: On December 3, 2020 Apple posted their new Terms and Conditions. When the Terms and Conditions are updated, it is mandatory per Apple for your Apple Business Manager admin to accept these terms and conditions. An email should have been sent to Apple Business Manager admins.
To accept the terms and conditions for Apple Business Manager: Confirm you have accepted all new terms and conditions from Apple's Business Manager portal. You will need the admin credentials to perform this action. For more information on Apple Business Manager roles, see Role privileges in Apple Business Manager. Renew the Apple Server token for DEP deployments and upload it to the Workspace ONE UEM Console. After uploading the new DEP token, perform a manual sync from the Console by navigating to Devices > Lifecycle > Enrollment > Add > Sync Devices.Verify that your Apple Business Manager and Workspace ONE are accurately syncing by going to Apple.Navigate to the Settings (located on the bottom left corner of Apple Business Manager).Select your MDM server.Check last check in/sync time. It should reflect the date and time you performed your manual sync from the Console.Confirm your devices are there by searching for a device with the serial number by navigating to Devices > LifeCycle > Enrollment.
