Cannot reconnect VM adapter."Reconfigure" task (in Recent Tasks) fails.In the vpxd.log file, you see entries similar to: Invalid configuration for device '0'. The same error occurs after a manual vMotion of the VM.In the /var/log/hostd.log file of the ESXi host, you see entries similar to: Device spec doesn't match up with dvport/dvpg configuration.
This issue occurs as the vSphere H5 Client sends requests to the vCenter Server with some unexpected fields.
This issue is resolved in VMware vCenter Server 6.7 Update 3g, available at VMware Downloads.Note: It is possible that you may still get this generic error Invalid configuration for device '0' even after upgrading to this or a later version. To help address this error, follow the workaround.
To work around this issue if you do not want to upgrade: Select a different network portgroup, reconnect NIC (on that different network portgroup), then change back to original network portgroup.Delete the VM adapter and recreate it. (Be sure to reconfigure the IP settings in the guest OS as well).
