To stop the false alarms from IPMI sensors.
A race condition when using variables that held the IPMI address.
The CIM (Common Information Model) agent is the process which provides hardware health information. Disabling this service will stop cimsvc plugin from polling ipmi and reporting hardware health information.
This is a known issue in VMware vSphere ESXi 6.5. Currently there is no resolution. This issue is resolved in VMware vSphere ESXi 6.7 Patch release ESXi670-202004002. To download go to the Customer Connect Patch Downloads page
Apply any of the below workaround1.Disable the CIM agent on an ESXi 6.5 and 6.7 host.Run this command:esxcli system wbem set --enable falseTo re-enable the CIM agent on the ESXi host, run this command:esxcli system wbem set --enable trueFor more information see KB :How to disable or enable the CIM agent on the ESX/ESXi host 2. /etc/init.d/hostd stop edit the /etc/vmware/hostd/config.xml <cimsvc> <path>libcimsvc.so</path> <enabled>true</enabled> </cimsvc> to <enabled>false</enabled> /etc/init.d/hostd start
