When you connect to a virtual desktop environment, the client folders are not shared with the virtual desktop.No errors are presented.The Share Folders button in the Options menu is not displayed.You are connecting through a supported protocol - Blast or PCOIP. RDP is not a supported protocol.
The issue occurs when a user is takes an extended period of time to login to a virtual desktop.if initialization takes more than 15 seconds, The default is to not offer the option to share folders.
Identify and resolve the cause of the extended login duration.
To resolve this issue, you can configure a longer timeout value with a registry:Procedure: Open the Registry Editor window (Click Start > Run, type regedit, and then click OK.). Note: This procedure modifies the Windows registry. Before making any registry modifications, ensure that you have a current and valid backup of the registry and the virtual machine. For more information on backing up and restoring the registry, see the Microsoft Knowledge Base article 136393. Locate this key in the registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\tsdrvdisvc In the Edit menu, click Add Value and then add this registry value: Value Name: VdiSvcInitTimerMaxData Type: REG_DWORD Right click VdiSvcInitTimerMax and select Modify. Select Decimal and enter the timeout value in milli-seconds. For example, set the value to 180000 (three minutes).
