This article provides the steps to configure the SMTP email settings on the Workspace ONE UEM Console. For on-premise Workspace ONE environments, an email (SMTP) server must be configured in the Workspace ONE console in order for the enrollment emails or notification emails to be sent to the respective user accounts.By default, SaaS environments leverage the Workspace ONE SMTP server, so no further action is needed unless you have an AirWatch Cloud Connector (ACC) configured.If these settings have been incorrectly configured or not configured at all, no emails can be sent from the Workspace ONE Console, and Workspace ONE Autodiscovery enrollment cannot be configured.
To configure the Email SMTP server for on-premise environments: Navigate to Groups & Settings > All Settings > System > Enterprise Integration > Email (SMTP).Enter the Email SMTP settings. See the below screenshot for illustration. Note: If ACC is being used, by default all SMTP emails will be sent through the ACC server. For SaaS environments: Unless you are leveraging an internal SMTP server, then navigate to the Cloud Connector > Advanced settings, and disable the SMTP (Email Relay) option. For on-premise environment: This will not send SMTP messages through ACC. Disable the SMTP (Email Relay) option.
