Symptoms
Exporting a virtual machine from VMware vSphere environment to VMware workstation fails.You see error:
FAILED: An error occurred during the conversion: The session does not have the required permissions.

The VMware vCenter Converter program is running with Windows admin privileges.You run the conversion on the virtual machine in powered off state.You are connected to vCenter Server with the administrator@vsphere.local account.You connect to the ESXi host directly with root credentials.
Resolution
To resolve this issue, move CTK files to a different directory and disable Changed Block Tracking(CBT).
