Exporting a virtual machine from VMware vSphere environment to VMware workstation fails.You see error: FAILED: An error occurred during the conversion: The session does not have the required permissions. Date, time, and environmental variables may vary depending on your environment. This issue occurs even when: The VMware vCenter Converter program is running with Windows admin privileges.You run the conversion on the virtual machine in powered off state.You are connected to vCenter Server with the administrator@vsphere.local account.You connect to the ESXi host directly with root credentials.
To resolve this issue, move CTK files to a different directory and disable Changed Block Tracking(CBT).
