PCOIP connections over dtRAM fails. You see the error: connection has timed out
Note: This article is applicable to the following products: VMware Horizon DaaS Bundle (VDI/RDSH Edition)VMware Horizon Cloud Service on IBM Cloud (formerly with Hosted Infrastructure)VMware Horizon DaaS On Premise Platform
This issue may occur if the virtual desktop cannot resolve the hostname which the dtram is returning for the connection. PCOIP Connect agent cannot use FQDNs for this function, it has to use IP addresses, so the Desktone DaaS Agent has logic built in to it to do aDNS lookup on the FQDN and pass the returned IP address to the connect agent which then forwards that onto the Client. If you are encoutering a connection timeout error, then there could be a problem where the desktop either: Cannot resolve the FQDN.The FQDN does not resolve to the proper address (should resolve to public IP address, not internal).
To resolve this issue, change the dtRAM configuration to use the public IP address instead of using the FQDN.
