This article documents recommended post-restore actions that should be taken after restoring VMs, physical machines, and cloud machines to the oVirt KVM hypervisor.
Starting in the oVirt KVM Plug-In included with Veeam Backup & Replication 12.3, a feature has been added that allows users to restore VMs, Physical machines, and Cloud machines to the oVirt KVM hypervisor. However, after such a restore, several recommended actions are suggested to maximize performance and functionality. Install guest tools and drivers. Change the disk bus type to one that is more efficient. Change the network adapter type to one that is more efficient.
