You may use Restore to Microsoft Azure for environments with ExpressRoute or site-to-site VPN connectivity to Azure. When using Azure Restore Proxy Appliance and helper appliances to perform the restore, they must have private IP addresses only.
Starting with Veeam Backup & Replication 9.5u4, create the following registry value on the Veeam Backup server prior to starting the restore process. Key Location: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Veeam\Veeam Backup and ReplicationValue Name: AzurePreferPrivateIpAddressesForProxyandLinuxApplianceValue Type: DWORD (32-Bit) ValueValue Data: 1 (Default: 0)
