When installing Veeam ONE using an existing or migrated database, the following error occurs: Specified database is not valid. Please choose Veeam ONE database or create a new database to proceed.
This error message occurs when the Veeam ONE installer attempts to install using an existing or migrated VeeamONE database that was created by a version higher than the installer.
Follow the steps below: Install Veeam ONE using a temporary database, which will be created automatically once you start the installation. Make sure the database name is different from the default "VeeamONE" to avoid conflicts with the original database if it is located on the same SQL Server. After installation completes, change the Veeam ONE database connection settings to connect to the previously created VeeamONE database using the Veeam ONE Settings Utility. Remove the temporary database that was created by the installer using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.
