This article provides information regarding removing licenses from Veeam Backup & Replication and Enterprise Manager.
Removing License From Veeam Backup & Replication Limitations If the Veeam Backup & Replication deployment is managed by Veeam Backup Enterprise Manager, the license cannot be removed from Veeam Backup & Replication. Even if it appears as if the license has been successfully removed, Veeam Backup Enterprise Manager periodically checks the Veeam Backup & Replication servers it manages and reapplies its license to them. If you are unsure whether Veeam Backup Enterprise Manager manages a Veeam Backup & Replication server, attempt to install a license file within Veeam Backup & Replication. If it allows you to click the Install button within the license section without the following message, the licenses are not managed by Veeam Backup Enterprise Manager: Veeam Backup Enterprise Manager connection is detected.
