Reproducer: virt-v2v -vx generic-ubuntu24.04-bios -it vddk -io vddk-libdir=/mnt/data/devel/vddk/vddk8.0.3 -on v2v-generic-ubuntu24.04-bios -ic vpx://root@vcenter8.virt.eng.rdu2.dc.redhat.com/rdu/v2v/virtlab2618-turin.virt.eng.rdu2.dc.redhat.com/?no_verify=1 Issue is in parsing /etc/crypttab. It chokes on stock OS config with ubuntu22.04 and ubuntu24.04 (didn't test any others). Line 6349 in the attached log Broke with https://github.com/libguestfs/virt-v2v/commit/9eebf38bcaf59c1e07102d056c9df363976bf7c2 which is in rhel10.3 and queued for rhel10.2 zstream log-bad-v2v-generic-ubuntu24.04-bios.txt
