The earliest recollection of this bug is traced back to PAN-OS 11.0.4 - November 18, 2024.
This bug is fixed in PAN-OS versions 11.0.4-h2.
( PA-3200 Series, PA-5200 Series, and PA-7000 Series firewalls ) Fixed an issue where upgrading the firewall to PAN-OS 11.0.4 or PAN-OS 11.0.4-h1 caused the firewall to go into a non-functional state.
After upgrading PA-3200 Series, PA-5200 Series, or PA-7000 Series firewalls that are equipped with OCTEON 7x00 dataplane chips to PAN-OS 11.0.4 or 11.0.4-h1, the firewall might see continuous crashes, reboot repeatedly, and/or go into a non-functional state. Workaround: If you have already upgraded to one of those releases, downgrade to an earlier release or upgrade to PAN-OS 11.0.4-h2.
