The earliest recollection of this bug is traced back to PAN-OS 10.1.5 - July 22, 2025. This bug is fixed in PAN-OS versions 9.1.12, 10.1.5. Fixed an issue where, when the TTL value for symmetric MAC entries weren't updated to other dataplanes and HA peers, timeouts occurred for traffic using policy-based forwarding (PBF) with symmetric returns.
