The earliest recollection of this bug is traced back to PAN-OS 10.1.0 - May 06, 2026. This bug is fixed in PAN-OS versions 10.1.3. Fixed an issue where a Passive PA-5450 firewall in an Active/Passive HA configuration using Auto mode would get stuck in maintenance mode after receiving the slot7-path_monitor Path monitor failure system failure. In an HA Active/Passive configuration using Auto mode, a Passive PA-5450 firewall under traffic stress can get stuck in maintenance mode after receiving the slot7-path_monitor Path monitor failure service failure. Workaround: Use Active/Passive Shutdown mode instead of Auto mode.
