The earliest recollection of this bug is traced back to PAN-OS 8.1.17 - July 22, 2025. This bug is fixed in PAN-OS versions 9.1.5, 8.1.17. Fixed an issue where memory usage on a process ( useridd ) was high, which caused the process to restart on the firewall acting as the User-ID redistribution agent. This issue occurred when multiple clients requested IP address-to-user mappings at the same time.
