The earliest recollection of this bug is traced back to PAN-OS 8.1.17 - July 22, 2025. This bug is fixed in PAN-OS versions 8.1.17, 9.1.4. ( PA-7000 Series firewalls only ) Enhanced latency-sensitive protocols processing. With this fix, the following latency-sensitive control traffic will be prioritized: BGP, Bidirectional Forwarding Detection (BFD), LACP, OSPF, OSPFv3, Protocol Independent Multicast (PIM), and Internet Group Management Protocol (IGMP).
