After a November 2025 Windows Server 2025 update, an OS installation to an iSCSI target may fail due to the OS not detecting the target.The iSCSI target is displayed in the One Time Boot Menu in the BIOS; however, the OS installer does not display the target.The OS installation completes when using a previous OS image; however, after updating the OS to the latest version, it will no longer boot.
Any HPE Gen11 or HPE Gen12 server.This is not HPE-specific. In addition, this has been observed on many network cards.
There is an open case with Microsoft on the issue. Currently there is no known workaround. Contact Microsoft for additional information.
