Under specific conditions, firmware updates initiated through HPE OneView Logical Enclosure (LE) may fail for SAS HDD components from Firmware Version HPD9 of "Universal Firmware Package for Drives - EG000600JWJNP, EG000600JXLVV, EG001200JWJNQ, EG001200JXLWA and EG001200MXJQU" (2025-Sept-25).While attempting to update the drive firmware through the LE, the update process may become stalled. The user will be able to see the following effects from the update attempt:LE firmware update workflow will not complete successfully for the affected drive component(s)The component will remain in Pending statusOneView will report "Activate failed" and the server will be "not-at-baseline-status"Additional intervention to complete the update will need to be via an alternate workflowThe operation may exit after a timeout of approximately two hoursNOTE: No data corruption or hardware damage occurs from the attempted update.
