When using the HPE Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP) 2025.11.01.00 or SPP 2026.01.00.00 through HPE OneView and HPE Smart Update Tools to update the firmware and Operating System (OS) drivers of both HPE ProLiant and HPE Synergy server platforms, an error message may be encountered, for example:"HPE OneView was unable to install or had to perform an intermediate hop for the following components: cp069193.zip. (PMFW_015)"
Any HPE ProLiant Gen10, Gen10 Plus, Gen11, Gen12 Servers or HPE Synergy Compute Modules on VMware ESXi 8.0/9.0 updated by Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP) 2025.11.01.00 or SPP 2026.01.00.00 with the following components:cp069193 — Gen10/Gen10 Plus (included in SPP 2025.11.01.00)cp069191 — Gen11/Gen12 (included in SPP 2025.11.01.00)cp069992 — Gen11/Gen12 (included in SPP 2026.01.00.00)
The error message is incorrect. The components will be properly deployed and active on the host. Post-update validation processes (e.g., ESXCLI software VIB list, AMS version check, or iLO component inventory) on the server will confirm the successful installation.This issue is also addressed in HPE Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP) Version 2026.03.00.00 for the Gen10, Gen10 Plus, Gen11 and Gen12 servers.
