On any platform configured with any HPE Intel E810-based network adapters with firmware version 4.71 listed in the Scope section below, the firmware of the network adapter may stop responding when certain secure communication requests are processed.Under these conditions, the network adapter may enter a recovery state, causing a possible firmware rollback to a previous version or the interface of the network adapter may be disabled in the Operating System.This condition can occur when the network adapter encounters specific request patterns that firmware version 4.71 does not handle correctly; for example, Security Protocol and Data Model (SPDM) packets.
