After an AC or DC power-cycle on an HPE ProLiant Compute XD685 system configured with NVIDIA H200 GPUs, HPE Integrated Lights-Out 6 (iLO 6) may intermittently omit the HGX FPGA and/or HGX PCIe Switch from the Firmware Inventory view. However, the occurrence rate is low. This condition does not impact normal system operation and may go unnoticed unless the Firmware Inventory is explicitly reviewed. If a GPU firmware update is attempted while the entries are not present, the affected components will not be included in the update operation.

This issue is corrected in HPE Integrated Lights-Out 6 (iLO 6) firmware version 1.75. Update iLO 6 to version 1.75 by usingOnline ROM Flash Firmware Package - HPE Integrated Lights-Out 6.As a workaround when using iLO 6 firmware prior to version 1.75, if the HGX FPGA and/or HGX PCIe Switch entries are not visible in the iLO Firmware Inventory, perform a full AC power drain by performing these steps:Remove AC power from the system for approximately five minutes.Restore power and allow the system to complete POST.Re‑verify that the components are present in the Firmware Inventory before attempting any GPU firmware updates.Document VersionRelease DateDetails2April 23, 2026Updated the Resolution with the permanent fix.1March 18, 2026Original Document Release.
