On HPE ProLiant Compute XD685 systems equipped with either NVIDIA or AMD GPUs, the GPUs and GPU firmware will not appear after pressing F9 at the end of Power-On Self-Test(POST) in the System Utilities->System Information->Firmware Information page.
Any HPE ProLiant Compute XD685 with any of the following:AMD Instinct MI300X PlatformAMD Instinct MI355X PlatformNVIDIA HGX H200NVIDIA HGX B200NVIDIA HGX B300
The correct GPUs/firmware revisions can be obtained using the GPU vendor management tools.For AMD Instinct MI300X and MI355X GPUs, use AMD ROCm utilities (such as rocm-smi or amd-smi).For NVIDIA HGX H200, B200, and B300 GPUs, use the NVIDIA utility nvidia-smi.This advisory will be updated if additional solutions become available.
