By default, HPE MegaRAID Storage Administrator (MRSA) version 8.2.19.0 (or earlier) on HPE Smart Array P824i-p Controllers supports remote access. If MRSA remote access is not disabled, unauthorized remote access to the controller is possible.
Any HPE Smart Array P824i-p Controller is affected by this issue.
Install the MegaRAID Storage Administrator version 8.2.19.0.NOTE: MegaRAID Storage Administrator version 8.2.19.0 is the latest version supported with HPE Smart Array P824i-p Controller.Manually disable remote access to MegaRAID Storage Administrator (MRSA) version 8.2.19.0 to enhance system security and reduce unauthorized access risks.To disable remote access of the MRSA application, complete the following steps:Stop the MRSA services and nginx services.Windows:Press WIN+R and enter "services.msc" to open Windows Service. Find LSAService and Nginx Service to stop.Linux:/etc/init.d/LsiSASH stop/etc/init.d/nginx stop or service nginx stop or systemctl stop nginxOpen the file nginx.confWindows:Program Files\HPEMRSA\LSIStorageAuthority\server\conf\nginx.confLinux:/opt/HPEMRSA/LSIStorageAuthority/server/conf/nginx.confEdit as the following lines:listen 127.0.0.1:2463 default server;Start the MRSA services and "nginx" services.Windows:Press WIN+R and type "services.msc"to open the Windows Service.
