Firmware remediation performed by VMware vSphere Lifecycle Manager (VLCM) will not complete when it is part of HPE OneView for VMware vCenter (OV4VC). This issue affects HPE ProLiant Gen12 or HPE Synergy Gen12 servers managed by HPE OneView 11.10.The issue occurs because OV4VC cannot retrieve the status from Integrated Smart Tools (iSUT) or Agentless Management Service (AMS) for HPE OneView Gen12 hardware. As a result, the VMware vSphere Lifecycle Manager (vLCM) firmware updates will not complete successfully. This impacts HPE Integrated Lights-Out 7 (iLO 7) for HPE ProLiant Compute and HPE Synergy Gen12 servers. However, Gen10 and Gen11 servers using OV4VC will not be affected and continue to function normally.
Any HPE ProLiant or Synergy Gen12 servers with HPE Integrated Lights-Out 7 (iLO 7) and HPE OneView for VMware vCenter (OV4VC) 11.7.
HPE recommends delaying your upgrade to HPE OneView 11.10 your environment includes Gen12 servers managed via HPE OneView for VMware vCenter (OV4VC).This issue will be corrected in a future release for HPE OneView.
