When installing Windows Server 2022 or Windows Server 2025 on systems configured with the HPE MR932i-p Gen12 Controller, no drives or volumes are listed during the "Select location to install Windows" step as shown in the image below.This issue occurs because the Windows OS installation image does not include an inbox driver for the MR932i-p Gen12 controller.
Any system with an HPE MR932i-p Gen12 controller in the configuration detailed above.
This issue is resolved with the following MR controller drivers:HPE MR932i-p Controller Driver for Microsoft Windows 2025 edition version 8.15.7.0 (or later)HPE MR932i-p Controller Driver for Microsoft Windows 2022 edition Version 8.15.7.0 (or later)As a workaround, since Windows Server 2022 and 2025 do not include an inbox driver for this controller, the corresponding HPE-provided Out-of-Box (OOB) driver must be loaded manually during OS installation.Follow the steps below to install the driver:Download the MR932i-p OOB Driver.<Link will be provided later when the driver is released.>Double-click the downloaded driver file.ClickExtract.Save the driver file either to the iLO virtual folder or the USB flash drive.Inject or load the driver during the Windows installation.Boot from the Windows Server 2022/2025 installation ISO.When reaching the “Select location to install Windows” screen, clickLoad Driver.Select the folder from the iLO virtual folder or the USB flash drive.After loading, the connected drives or volumes managed by MR932i-p should become visible.
