When updating HPE Integrated Lights-Out 7 (iLO 7) firmware using HPE Compute Ops Manager (COM), the firmware update operation may fail.This issue occurs when updating:From iLO 7 firmware v1.17 (or earlier) to versions 1.18 or 1.19, orFrom iLO 7 firmware v1.18 or 1.19 to v1.20 (or later) through COM.Firmware updates from v1.17 (or earlier) directly to v1.20 (or later) using COM will be completed successfully.The issue only affects updates that involve v1.18 or v1.19 when the update is performed from COM.
Any HPE system with iLO 7 firmware updating to or from v1.18 or v1.19 when the update is started using HPE COM.
This issue only affects firmware updates through COM (involving v1.18 or v1.19); direct updates are not affected.This is targeted to be resolved in a future iLO 7 firmware update. This advisory will be updated when additional information is available.
