HPE Alletra Storage MP B10000 arrays running OS version 10.4.5 (or earlier) cannot install Upgrade Tool version 84 (or later). This limitation is expected due to the introduction of a new signing key in the Upgrade Tool, which is not supported by older OS releases.To upgrade to future versions of Alletra Storage MP B10000 OS version 10.5.55 (or later), a Storage Upgrade Tool must be used which contains the new signing key.IMPORTANT: Upgrading to Alletra Storage MP B10000 OS version 10.5.55 (or later) requires updated Storage Upgrade Tools compatible with the new signing key.The HPE Software Release Engine will NOT automatically send Upgrade Tool Version 84 (or later) to affected arrays. Manual loading of these Storage Upgrade Tools is also not supported on OS versions 10.4.5 (or earlier).Attempting to manually stage Storage Upgrade Tool version UT‑10.084 (or later) on systems running OS versions 10.4.5 (or earlier) fail because of the signing key incompatibility. The last Storage Upgrade Tool version that supports these older OS releases is UT-10.083. Use this version to update the OS to version 10.4.8 (or later). HPE Alletra Storage MP B10000 is affected by this issue.
Upgrade the array OS to a version between and including 10.4.8 and 10.5.55 to support the new signing key. Once the OS is updated, newer Storage Upgrade Tools can be staged automatically by HPE via the Software Release Engine or manually.
