When performing a Virtual Connect firmware update to version 1.9.3 using the Parallel activation method on any Subordinate HPE Virtual Connect SE 40Gb F8 Module for Synergy, a rare timing condition may cause one or more of the uplinks on the Subordinate Virtual Connect module to remain unlinked.This does not occur when using the Orchestrated or Manual activation methods of firmware updates.This issue does not affect the uplinks on the Master Virtual Connect module, and it only rarely occurs on uplink ports using Direct Attach Cables (DACs).
Any Subordinate HPE Virtual Connect SE 40Gb F8 Module for Synergy performing a firmware update using the Parallel Activation method.
To avoid the issue, use the Orchestrated or Manual firmware activation method.If the problem has already occurred, the uplink ports that failed need to have their Direct Attach Copper (DAC) Cables reseated.
