A functional difference has been identified in HPE Integrated Lights-Out 7 (iLO 7) regarding Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) server configuration and management. Unlike iLO 6, iLO 7 does not support configuring both IPv4 and IPv6 LDAP server addresses simultaneously, nor does it support configuring multiple LDAP server IP addresses. This limitation may affect configurations utilizing dual-stack (IPv4/IPv6) network environments.Additionally, the iLO 7 web interface does not display the configured LDAP server address details—including IPv6 addresses—potentially impacting management and troubleshooting workflows. The following will be observed:Unable to configure both IPv4 and IPv6 LDAP server addresses at the same time in iLO 7.iLO 7 web interface does not display LDAP server details, including the IPv6 address.
Any HPE ProLiant Gen12 server utilizing iLO 7.
Perform either of the following recommendation:Configure either an IPv4 or an IPv6 LDAP server address, as only one can be used at a time in iLO 7.Document iLO 7 LDAP server configurations for management and troubleshooting purposes. No future iLO 7 firmware releases will be provided to address these limitations.
