When performing firmware updates using the 2025.09.00.00 Gen10/Gen11 SPP on HPE ProLiant servers running Ubuntu 22.04 or 24.04, the update may fail with afailed dependency errorfor the following FWPKG components. This occurs because these components require a minimum active firmware version before the latest firmware can be applied.Affected Components and Minimum Required Versions:HPE SN1610E 32Gb Fibre Channel (FC) HBA – Minimum required active version: 14.0.499.29HPE Synergy QLogic Firmware Package for FastLinQ Adapters - Minimum required active version: 8.55.12Marvell FastLinQ Firmware Package for Arrowhead adapters - Minimum required active version: 8.55.12

As a workaround, perform either of the following:Manually install the prerequisite firmware version outside of the SPP, and then re-run the update using the 2025.09.00.00 Gen10/Gen11 SPP.ORPerform the update via Offline Firmware Update to bring the components to the minimum required versions before applying the latest SPP updates. The impacted components must be updated to the minimum prerequisite versions using the HPE Integrated Lights-Out (iLO) firmware repository. Once updated, subsequent firmware updates using the 2025.09.00.00 Gen10/Gen11 SPP will proceed successfully without failed dependency errors.
