On HPE Storage MSL6480 Tape Libraries with firmware 6.40 and later and HPE Storage MSL3040 Tape Libraries with firmware 3330 and later, the media initialization wizard "Select All" option for choosing drives includes all drives, regardless of a self-test failure. If the media initialization wizard runs with a self-test faulted drive, it will note the tape status for the media in the drive as failed initialization.
