HPE UID (Unit Identification) indicator may constantly blink blue on HPE Synergy 480 Gen12 compute module while using HPE Integrated Lights-Out 7 (iLO 7) firmware v1.16.00 (or earlier). This does not have an impact on the functionality of the server but only impact on the UID blink pattern. This could cause a false indication of iLO Integrated Remote Console (IRC) access or firmware update. Therefore, "Mass Storage USB Flash Drives" is disabled from the factory. This option can be later enabled as described in the Resolution below.
Any HPE Synergy SY480 Gen12 Compute Module running iLO 7 firmware v1.14.00 or v.16.00.
